Venezuela took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital of Rome with a delegation of 36 athletes, 31 men and five women, in 26 competitions in nine sports.

Since 1948 it was Venezuela's fourth participation in the Summer Olympic Games .

The youngest athlete was swimmer Anneliese Rockenbach at 17 years and 177 days , and the oldest athlete was Enrico Forcella (52 years and 328 days).

Flag bearer

The sprinter Rafael Romero carried the flag of Venezuela during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

With a bronze medal won the Team of Venezuela No. 41 ranked in the medal count .
