Liberia took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital Rome with a delegation of four male athletes in five competitions in one sport.
After 1956 it was Liberia's second participation in the Summer Olympics .
The youngest athlete was sprinter Emmanuel Putu at 21 years and 270 days , the oldest athlete was sprinter James Roberts (23 years and 339 days).
