Liberia took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with eight athletes.

Since 1956 it was Liberia's ninth participation in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

Athlete Kouty Mawenh carried the Liberian flag during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
