American Samoa took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with four athletes, one woman and three men, in three sports.

It was the Pacific state's fourth participation in the Summer Olympics since 1988 .

Flag bearer

Track and field athlete Lisa Misipeka carried the American Samoa flag during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .
