Colombia competed in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , Australia with a delegation of 44 athletes, including 25 men and 19 women, in 45 competitions in 13 sports. The flag-bearer at the opening ceremony was weightlifter María Isabel Urrutia , she also won the only medal for Colombia.
