Estonia took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in the Australian metropolis of Sydney with 33 athletes, two women and 31 men, in eleven sports.

Since 1920 , it was Estonia's eighth participation in the Summer Olympic Games .

Flag bearer

The sailor Tõnu Tõniste carried the flag of Estonia during the opening ceremony at Stadium Australia .

Medalist

With a won gold and two bronze medals, the Estonian team finished 47th in the medals table .
