Estonia took part in the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Greek capital Athens with 42 athletes, 11 women and 31 men.

It was Estonia's ninth participation in the Summer Olympic Games since 1920 .

Flag bearer

The decathlete Erki Nool carried the flag of Estonia during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium ; At the closing ceremony it was worn by the rower Jüri Jaanson .

With a won silver and two bronze, the team finished 64th in the medals table .
