Latvia participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Greek capital Athens with 32 athletes, 10 women and 22 men.

Since 1924 it was the eighth time Latvia had participated in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

The athlete Vadims Vasiļevskis carried the flag of Latvia during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

With four won silver medals, the team finished 58th in the medals table .
