Djibouti sent track and field athletes and tennis players to the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Greek capital Athens , but for unknown reasons they did not take part in the competitions. At the opening ceremony, the country was represented by a delegation, the flag bearer was the runner Zeinab Mohamed Khaireh, who was scheduled for the competitions.
