Serbia and Montenegro took part in the Summer Olympics in the Greek capital Athens with 87 athletes, 7 women and 80 men.

It was the first and only participation of a team from Serbia and Montenegro in the Summer Olympics .

Flag bearer

Basketball player Dejan Bodiroga carried the flag of Serbia and Montenegro during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium .

Medals

With two silver medals won the team was ranked 61 in the medal count .
