Nikola Nikezić , Cyrillic: Никола Никезић , (born June 13, 1981 in Titograd , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Montenegrin football player .

Career

Nikezić began his professional career at FK Budućnost Podgorica in his hometown, with whom he competed in the Prva liga SR Jugoslavije . Initially a substitute player, who played his games as a substitute, he established himself as a regular player in the 2000/01 season. At the end of the season he was relegated with the club from the first division, but initially remained loyal to him. In the second division, however, he only played a half series for the club, he was awarded to the league rivals FK Bokelj Kotor for six months . After the missed recovery with Budućnost Podgorica, he left the club at the end of the season.

Nikezić joined the first division club FK Sutjeska Nikšić . At the side of Milenko Milošević , Dejan Rabrenovic and Dražen Medjedovic , he finished fourth with the club behind FK Partizan Belgrade , FK Red Star Belgrade and OFK Belgrade in his first season. In the following season he scored twelve goals this season. Although that was only enough for eighth place in the table, he was part of the squad for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens . He was used in two games, but remained without a goal and was eliminated with the selection team as the bottom of the group. In the subsequent 2004/05 season Nikezić missed his goal threat, with four goals he could not prevent the club's relegation.

Nikezić left Serbia and Montenegro in the summer of 2005 and moved to the Slovenian first division club NK Domžale . In the Slovenska Nogometna Liga he ran on the side of Slaviša Dvorancic , Darijan Matič and Branko Ilič . With ten goals this season he was one of the pillars that made the club runner-up behind ND Gorica . The competitor then recruited him to replace top scorer Miran Burgić , who had left the club for Sweden. Nikezić knew how to fill the gap adequately and led the club to the national championship title with 22 goals this season, which also made him the top scorer.

Nikezić's successes had got around outside the country's borders. On the one hand he made his international debut for the Montenegrin national team, on the other hand he received offers from abroad. In summer 2007 he therefore left Slovenia and joined the French club Le Havre AC in Ligue 2 . With seven goals, he contributed to the club's promotion to Ligue 1 alongside Guillaume Hoarau , Christophe Revault , Amadou Alassane and Nicolas Gillet . There he could not assert himself, however, and was sometimes only used for the second team of the club, so that he could not help in the relegation battle and went to the second division with the club

After Nikezić regained only irregular playing time in the second division, he accepted an offer from the Russian second division club FK Kuban Krasnodar in March 2010 .

For the 2012/13 season Nikezić joined the Slovenian first division club NK Olimpija Ljubljana . In February 2014 he moved to the Thai club Chainat FC and ended his career there at the end of the year.
