Branko Ilič (born February 6, 1983 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian football player who is under contract with Vejle BK .
Player career
society
After Branko Ilič was able to prevail in the Slovenian first division, he was loaned to Betis Sevilla in January 2007 , before he was bought by the Spaniards in the summer of the same year for € 1.5 million. His first appearance for the Andalusians was the city derby against Sevilla FC in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey . On February 4, 2007 he played his first league match for Betis against Athletic Bilbao , in which he was able to prepare a goal.
This was followed by positions at FK Moscow , Lokomotiv Moscow , Anorthosis Famagusta and Hapoel Tel Aviv . In January 2015 he then moved to FK Partizan Belgrade , where he was able to celebrate the championship title. Then he went to FK Astana in the summer , where he became champion again. This was followed by a short detour to Japan to the Urawa Red Diamonds . Here he only played one game in the AFC Champions League , he was not used in the league.
From February 2017 to January 2019 he played for Olimpija Ljubljana and then moved to the Danish first division club Vejle BK on a free transfer .
National team
Ilic went through all the youth national teams in Slovenia and made his debut on August 18, 2004 for the senior national team in a friendly against Montenegro (1-1). He scored his only goal in the 2016 European Championship qualification in a 6-0 win over San Marino . Including his last game on November 17, 2015, Ilic played 63 international matches.
