In 2002, Yugoslavia took part in this constellation for the second time in the Winter Olympics. After Salt Lake City , the country sent six athletes who competed in two different disciplines. It was the last time the name Yugoslavia was used, from the 2004 Summer Olympics the country entered under the name Serbia and Montenegro .
The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the skier Jelena Lolović .
