Hungary took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, USA, with a delegation of 25 athletes in seven disciplines, including 14 men and 11 women. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the speed skater Krisztina Egyed .
