Poland took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, USA, with a delegation of 27 athletes in nine disciplines, including 22 men and 5 women. With a silver and a bronze medal, Poland took 21st place in the medal table. The ski jumper Adam Małysz won both medals.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the figure skater Mariusz Siudek .
