Poland took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Japanese Nagano with a delegation of 39 athletes in ten disciplines in part, of which 24 men and 15 women. None of the athletes managed to win a medal.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was the biathlete Jan Ziemianin .
