Halina Pitoń (born September 26, 1972 in Kościelisko ) is a former Polish biathlete .

Halina Pitoń lives in Kościelisko. She started first for Dynamitu Chorzów and later for WKS Legia Zakopane . She started biathlon in 1987. In 1991 and 1997 she won the title of Polish sprint champion. Its first major event was the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . On the routes of Les Saisies she was 20th in the individual, 40th in the sprint and with Agata Suszka and Zofia Kiełpińska as the final runner 14th of the relay race. Two years later at the Olympic Games in Lillehammer , she started again and made 57th place in the individual as well as in the sprint. With Anna Stera-Kustusz , Helena Mikołajczyk and Agata Suszka, she reached eleventh place as the last runner of the season. At the first ever European Biathlon Championships in Kontiolahti in 1994 , she won the individual title ahead of Martina Jasiková and Irina Mileschina . At her next international championships, the Biathlon World Championships in 1995 in Antholz , she reached 63rd place in the individual and 15th place in the relay race together with Agata Suszka, Anna Stera-Kustusz and Halina Nowak . At the start of the 1995/96 season , Pitoń won her first points in the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund with 25th place in the sprint . The highlight of the season was the 1996 World Championships in Ruhpolding . In individual they reached number 44 in the sprint, she was 60th, with the season on the side of Agata Suszka, Anna Stera-Kustusz and Iwona Daniluk 13th place before the World Championships she ran at Holmenkollen in Oslo than 16th of sprints on their best world cup placement. In 1997 the World Championships followed in Osrblie , where Pitoń was 32nd in the sprint and 33rd in the pursuit and finished 14th in relay with Agata Suszka, Anna Stera-Kustusz and Halina Guńka . In 1998 , Pitoń competed in Nagano for the third and last time at the Olympic Games. On the tracks of Nozawa Onsen she came in 51st place in the sprint and was 13th in the relay race with Suszka, Daniluk and Stera-Kustusz. After the games, the world championships in the non-Olympic disciplines were held in Pokljuka . In the pursuit, which was based on the World Cup sprint in Pokljuka, she was 35. After the season, she ended her career. Pitoń is married to Wojciech Kozub .
