Yugoslavia took part in the 1998 Winter Olympics for the 14th time . Two athletes were sent to Nagano , a man and a woman, who both competed in alpine skiing . Neither athlete managed to win a medal.
The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was ski racer Marko Đorđević .
