Zsófia Gottschall (born April 7, 1978 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian biathlete and cross-country skier . She took part in two Winter Olympics.

Zsófia Gottschall started for Vasas Sport Club / KSI . She first competed in biathlon and cross-country skiing since the late 1990s. She competed in her first biathlon world cup race in 1997 in Antholz and was 94th. In 1998 she took part in the junior world championships in Jericho and finished 39th in the individual and 49th in the sprint. In 1999 the first races followed in cross-country skiing and finally the participation in the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau . She was 58 in the 15 km freestyle, 59 in the pursuit and 74 in the 5 km classic. In February 2000, Gottschall ran her first and only race in the Cross-Country World Cup in Lamoura Mouthe and achieved a 40th place in a race over 44 kilometers. She was about 50 minutes behind the winner Stefania Belmondo . After that, the Hungarian concentrated more on biathlon. Since the 2000/01 season she started regularly for two seasons in the World Cup. As part of the Biathlon World Championships 2000 at Holmenkollen in Oslo , she achieved her best results with ranks 71 in the individual and 72 in the sprint. At the 2002 Winter Olympics , Gottschall took part in cross-country skiing and finished 54th in the sprint and 70th in the pursuit. In 2003 she only started in the Biathlon European Cup and cross-country skiing at the Universiade in Tarvisio , where she was 63rd in the 5-kilometer classic race. Since then she has only started in biathlon.

In 2004 Gottschall took part in their second biathlon world championships in Oberhof . In the individual she finished 77th place, in the sprint she ran 82nd place. The following year , the Hungarian took part in her third and last Biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen and reached 90th place in the sprint.The last major event was the 2006 Winter Olympics , where Gottschall was the only Hungarian biathlete to take part and finished 80th in the individual and 82nd in the sprint . After the season she ended her career.
