Igor Rakočević , Serbian - Cyrillic Игор Ракочевић , (born March 23, 1978 in Belgrade ) is a former Serbian basketball player who also played in the US National Basketball Association (NBA).

National team

Igor Rakočevic made his debut in the national team of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia at the European Championship 2001 in Turkey , where he also won the gold medal. At the 2002 World Cup in the USA , the Yugoslavs defeated Argentina in a memorable final with 84:77. Rakočević won his first world title. In 2005 at the European Championships in their own country, Rakočević was appointed to the team, but the favorites failed 71:74 to France .
