In summer 2011 there was speculation that Veličković would leave, but at the request of the new Real Madrid coach, Pablo Laso , the capitals extended his contract until summer 2013. In February 2012, Veličković and his club won the Spanish Cup for the first time in 19 years , In the final, Real Madrid beat arch-rivals FC Barcelona 91-74. In the ACB league , the capitals finished second. At the end of the season, Veličković's contract, which was rarely used due to injuries, was dissolved.
Through assignments at the KK Mega in his hometown, Veličković was able to recommend himself for a contract with the German champion Brose Baskets from Bamberg , who only used the permanent convalescent in eight games of the basketball Bundesliga 2013/14 before this contract was also prematurely in the February 2014 ended. After Veličković played the season at KK Mega to an end, he moved to Trabzonspor in Turkey , where he played the following two years. In his second season, Veličković also ended this contract early in March 2016 and returned to his home club Partizan, which, however, had lost its dominant position in Serbia.
