Goga Bitadze ( Georgian გოგა ბითაძე ; born July 20, 1999 in Sagaredscho ) is a Georgian basketball player who is currently under contract with the Indiana Pacers in the North American professional league NBA .

Club career

Europe

Bitadze, originally from Sagaredscho , first moved to the capital city club BK Vita Tiflis within his home country , and in December 2015 he joined the youth department of the Serbian club KK Mega Basket .

Bitadze played on loan for the Serbian first division club Smederevo 1953 and for the offspring of KK Mega Basket in the 2016/17 season. From the 2017/18 game year he was on the professional team. In April 2018, Bitadze signed up for draft proceedings by the NBA, but had his name deleted again in June.

In December 2018 he moved from KK Mega Basket to the Montenegrin association KK Budućnost Podgorica .

NBA

In June 2019, the Indiana Pacers secured the rights to the Georgian in the NBA draft .

National team

Bitadze participated with the Georgian U16, U18 and U20 national teams in the B European Championships. In 2017 he was appointed to Georgia’s national team.
