The BK Vita Tbilisi is a basketball club from the Georgian capital Tbilisi , in the VTB United League play.

history

The BK Vita was founded in 1992 by the Georgian businessman Timur Datikashvili. The club initially won six national championships in a row. In 1994, 1995 and 1996 Vita started in European competitions without any notable success. After this successful period, the club got into financial difficulties. The club changed its name to STU-Geocell in 2000 and stopped playing in 2008. In 2015 the club was re-established under the name Vita and got a starting place in the VTB United League .
