The PGE Turów Zgorzelec is a Polish professional basketball team . The club, which is based in the Zgorzelec PGE Turów Arena, plays in the Polska Liga Koszykówki ( German-  Polish basketball league ) and previously also in the ULEB Euroleague .

history

Turów Zgorzelec Association was founded in 1948. The basketball department emerged from it in 1964. In 1978 the club rose to the Polish 1st basketball league for the first time and played there for only one season. For the next 25 years the club played in the 2nd Polish league and rose again to the 1st league in 2004 after taking first place in the 2nd division. In the following years Turów managed to reach the play-off finals six times (2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014). The first title was won only with the sixth finals in the 2013/14 season. Turów took part in the ULEB Eurocup five times (2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/2012) . In the 2007/08 season the team reached the Final Eight tournament of the ULEB Eurocup. In the 2013/2014 season Turów won the first national championship in its history and qualified for the Euroleague .

Halls

The team plays its home games in the PGE Turów Zgorzelec Arena on Lubaska Street. In 2015, this new building replaced the old sports facility, the Centrum Sportowe , which was built in 1986 in Maratońska Street, which had a capacity of 1700 spectators.
