AZS Koszalin is a Polish basketball club from Koszalin , which plays in the Polska Liga Koszykówki .

history

The association was founded on October 8, 1968. The intention of the founders was to revitalize sports life in Koszalin and the region between Szczecin and Gdansk . At the beginning, the club offered a number of sports: volleyball, basketball, swimming, athletics, badminton and judo.

AZS grew and entered into a number of collaborations with local schools in Koszalin. As a result of this cooperation, there were some national and even international successes. Students from these schools became famous Olympic athletes and represented Poland internationally.

Ultimately, AZS mainly focused on the men's basketball team, the women's basketball team withdrew from competition in 1999.

At the moment, all the attention is on the first team. The training for children and young people is also geared towards this goal. Finally, he was promoted to the first division and in 2003 to the Ekstraliga and in 2010 he won the Polish Basketball Cup.
