Michał Chyliński (born February 22, 1986 in Bydgoszcz ) is a Polish basketball player . Chyliński played as an adolescent in Spain , where he was unable to assert himself before returning to Poland in 2009 and playing for Turów Zgorzelec. With this club, the Polish national player and two-time European Championship finalist won the first championship for the club in 2014.

Career

Chyliński made his first games from 2003 in the men's area at the club from Warka , which moved to Kozienice during this time . At the beginning of the 2004/05 season he had a job in the French LNB Pro B for the then second division promoted from Nanterre near Paris, before he returned to Kozienice in October 2004. In the 2005/06 season Chyliński played in his hometown of Bydgoszcz for Astoria in the Polish top division Polska Liga Koszykówki . After the license withdrawal for Astoria, the talent Chyliński tried again abroad and was signed by the Spanish Euroleague club Unicaja from Málaga . In addition to short appearances in the top division ACB league and in the top European club competition Euroleague, Chylinski played in the second division LEB for the club from Los Barrios and in the third division for Málaga's reserve team Rincón Axarquía from Torre del Mar in Andalusia . After Chyliński had come again to short stints at Unicaja in the 2007/08 season at the beginning of the season, he was subsequently used exclusively in the reserve team, which rose to the second class LEB Oro at the end of the season. Here the promoted team reached the play-offs for promotion to the top division in the 2008/09 season as sixth in the table , in which, however, they were eliminated without a win in the first round. Chyliński, who had only been used in qualifying matches in the Polish men's national team since 2005, was nominated by Israeli national coach Muli Katzurin for the 2009 European Championship finals in Poland. After two preliminary round victories over Bulgaria and the favored neighboring country Lithuania , the Polish selection lost the following four preliminary and intermediate round games and was eliminated from the tournament before the quarter-finals.

After his contract in Málaga expired, Chyliński returned to Poland and got a contract with the runner-up PGE Turów from the border town of Zgorzelec , which formerly formed a joint town with the German town of Görlitz . After losing the cup final, however, the former runner-up was eliminated in the play-offs for the 2010 championship in the first round. A year later they returned to the final series for the championship with the German national player Konrad Wysocki , among others , but as in three final series before they had to admit defeat to series champion Asseco Prokom Gdynia . In the 2011/12 season, the team lost in the games for third place against regional rival Stelmet Zielona Góra , who one year later had to bow again without a win after moving into the 2013 final series. After Chyliński did not take part in the 2011 European Championship finals , he was nominated by the German national coach Dirk Bauermann for the 2013 European Championship finals tournament , in which Poland could only win the last and meaningless preliminary round match against hosts Slovenia . In the 2013/14 season there was a new edition of the Lower Silesian final series for the championship, which this time PGE Turów won against defending champion Stelmet. In addition to Chyliński's first championship title, it was also the first championship title win for the club after five runners-up in seven years. After Turów was last eliminated after the preliminary round in the Eurocup 2009/10 and the Eurocup 2011/12 , the club with Chyliński will take part in the top-ranking ULEB Euroleague 2014/15 competition for the first time .

For the 2015/2016 season, Chylinski moved to Germany and signed a one-year contract with first division team Telekom Baskets Bonn . On December 14, 2015, Telekom Baskets announced that they were using a termination option and that they had terminated the contract with Chylinski with immediate effect.
