Los Barrios is a city in southern Spain. It belongs to the province of Cádiz in the Andalusia region and is located near Algeciras and Gibraltar . On January 1, 2019, 23,642 people lived in Los Barrios. The inhabitants call themselves "Barreños".

Although this region has been inhabited since prehistoric times, the city was not founded until 1704 by refugees from Gibraltar .
