The season 2014/15 was 15 . The season of the EuroLeague (officially Turkish Airlines EuroLeague ), the most important competition in European club basketball .
Real Madrid won the title . For the Spaniards it was the first EuroLeague win. Before that, the royal triumphs eight times in the European Cup .
mode
Of the 24 teams taking part in the EuroLeague, 23 were directly qualified for the group stage, and another place was played in an additional qualifying round.
The 24 men were divided into four groups of six teams, wherein each team one home and away game against any other side in the round robin mode ( English round robin ) denies. The four best-placed teams in each group were assigned to the two groups of the second group phase, in which each team also played one home and one away game against each other team. The top four teams in the second group phase qualified for the knockout round, which was played as a play-off in the " best-of-five " mode. The four prevailing teams qualified for the Final Four tournament in Madrid.
First of all, a qualification tournament took place from September 23 to 26, 2014. The main round began on October 16, 2014 and ended with the final of the Final Four on May 17, 2015 in Madrid .

A total of eight teams from different countries competed for a place in the main round. The seven failed clubs continued to play in the EuroCup .

The preliminary round was played between October 16 and December 19, 2014. For teams with the same number of wins, it was not the total basket point ratio that was decisive for the group placements, but only the added result in a direct comparison of the teams with one another.

Quarter finals
In the “best of five” mode, the remaining eight teams competed against each other in four team encounters. The first and second in the group from the second phase enjoyed home rights in a possibly required fifth play-off game. The four teams that won these duels qualified for the Final Four tournament. The games took place from April 14 to 23, 2015.
Final Four
In a tournament that was held between May 15 and 17, 2015 in the Barclaycard Center in Madrid , two teams each competed in semi-finals. The winners qualified for the final, from which the winner of the EuroLeague emerged.
