The 1963/64 season was the 7th season of the European Cup of National Champions , held by FIBA Europe and now known as the Euroleague .
Real Madrid from Spain won the title for the first time . It was the first win for a non- Soviet team.

The 14 champions of each national league took part in the final round. First a qualification was played. The winners of the pairings were determined in the first and second leg. The decisive factor was the overall basket ratio in both games. The winners of the pairings in the second round, in the quarter-finals, in the semi-finals and in the final were also determined in the first and second leg.

- Last year's winner , CSKA Moscow , who was supposed to start in the quarter-finals, did not take part, which the Soviet Association justified with "more important preparation for the Olympic Games ".
2nd round
The first leg took place from 19 to 21 December 1963 (the game scheduled for December 24 was canceled), the second leg from 5 to 23 January 1964.
* Since there was a tie after the two games, another game in Bucharest decided.
** Due to a violent storm, it was impossible for Paris to get to Yugoslavia on time.
Quarter finals
The first legs took place from February 6 to 12, the second legs from February 19 to 23, 1964.
