EuroLeague 2014/15

The season 2015/16 was 16 . The season of the EuroLeague (officially Turkish Airlines EuroLeague ), the most important competition in European club basketball .

CSKA Moscow won the title . For the Russians it was the third win in the EuroLeague. Before that, the Muscovites triumphed four times in the FIBA European Cup .

mode

Of the 24 teams taking part in the EuroLeague, all were directly qualified for the group stage. In contrast to previous seasons, a qualification was not held.

The 24 men were divided into four groups of six teams, wherein each team one home and away game against any other side in the round robin mode ( English round robin denied). The four best-placed teams in each group were assigned to the two groups of the second group phase, in which each team also played one home and one away game against each other team. The top four teams in the second group phase qualified for the knockout round, which was played as a play-off in the " best-of-five " mode. The four prevailing teams qualified for the Final Four tournament in Berlin.
