Ekpedeme "Ekpe" Friday Udoh (born May 20, 1987 in Edmond , Oklahoma ) is a Nigerian-American basketball player who is currently under contract with the Beijing Ducks .
Career
college
He played three seasons in college, two for Michigan University and one for Baylor University . As a sophomore , he was elected to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team. In his junior season (third in college), he was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and called to the Big 12 all-rookie team. When he moved from college to the NBA, he had an average of 8.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.8 blocks in 103 college games.
NBA
The Warriors drew him, with high expectations, as the 6th player in the 2010 NBA Draft . Due to a wrist injury, Udoh was unable to play in an NBA game until December 11, 2010. That day he made his debut against the Miami Heat . He came on as a substitute with three minutes remaining and scored 2 points. However, he could not meet the high expectations and was traded on March 13, 2012 together with Monta Ellis and Kwame Brown in exchange for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson to the Milwaukee Bucks .
In the summer of 2014, Udoh signed with the Los Angeles Clippers .
Israel
Due to the 2011 NBA lockout , Udoh signed with the Israeli club Bnei Hasharon . However, he returned to the Warriors after the lockout ended.
Turkey
Udoh signed a contract with Fenerbahçe Ülker in the summer of 2015 . Udoh won the EuroLeague with Fenerbahçe in 2017 and was awarded the EuroLeague Final Four MVP in the end.
Return to the NBA
After winning the EuroLeague, Udoh received numerous offers from the NBA. He then announced his move to Utah Jazz . Udoh played two years as a backup for Rudy Gobert in Jazz. After his NBA engagement, he joined the Beijing Ducks in China.

Udoh is the son of Nigerian immigrants.
National team
Due to his Nigerian origin, Udoh is eligible to play for the Nigerian national basketball team. With this he took part in the 2019 World Basketball Championship .
