Bnei Herzlia ( Hebrew בני הרצליה, German  sons of Herzlia , from 2002 to 2013 Bnei hascharon ) is an Israeli basketball club from Herzlia . The club plays in the highest Israeli basketball league, the Ligat ha′Al.

history

Through the merger of the two clubs Maccabi Raʿanana and Bnei Herzlia , the club was founded in 2002 as Bnei hascharon. The club has played in the Ligat ha'Al since the 2002/03 season. In the first two years you played with the front, finished third and fifth. The following seasons were worse, but they reached the Israeli Cup final in 2005, 2007 and 2010, which was lost.

In 2008 Bnei Hasharon took part in the Eurocup and was eliminated in the first group stage. For the 2013/14 season they returned to the previous name Bnei Herzlia, but only just managed to stay in league in eleventh and penultimate place.
