Cory Higgins (born June 14, 1989 in Danville , California ) is an American basketball player .

Career

Higgins played basketball at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2007 to 2011 . After he was able to achieve 8.3 points per game in his first season, he increased again and scored an average of 17.4 points. The next two seasons went similarly well. When he signed up for the 2011 NBA draft and completed his final year of college, he had scored 15.2 points per game and, among other things, 4.1  rebounds per game.

He was then called to a training camp for the Denver Nuggets . He scored seven points in two games but was sacked by the Nuggets. Two days later, however, he was appointed to the Charlotte Bobcats team, played 38 games this season and scored an average of 3.9 points. On December 9, 2012, he was released from the Charlotte Bobcats. In January 2013 he got a contract with the Erie BayHawks again. In October 2013 he signed a one-year contract with the Russian triumph Lyubertsy . There he was the best scorer of the regular season 2013/14 of the VTB-UL with an average of 21.5 points per game .
