The cultural and entertainment complex Nagorny ( Russian Культурно-развлекательный комплекс Нагорный , formerly the Sports Palace of Trade Unions Russian Нагорный Дворец спорта профсоюзов ) is a multi-purpose hall in the Russian Nizhny Novgorod , since 2007 home ground of the hockey club Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod is.

The hall was built in 1965 and was used for Torpedo's home games before the construction of the sports palace on the site of the car factory , today's Konovalenko sports palace . Since 2006, the ice rink has also been used by the SKIF Nizhny Novgorod women's ice hockey team. The basketball club BK Nizhny Novgorod from the VTB United League has been using the hall since 2010.

Since Torpedo rose from the Wysschaya League to the Super League after the 2006/07 season , a new home ground had to be found that met the standards of the Super League. A three-stage plan is to turn the existing ice rink into a multifunctional hall according to the specifications of the super league. To this end, the sports palace was initially expanded to a capacity of 5,600 spectators between April and September 2007, a VIP area was created, a new audio and video system was installed, and preparatory measures were taken for the second construction phase. This second phase included the expansion of the complex with additional sports halls, conference rooms, a fitness studio, a sports museum, a sports shop, cafes and a restaurant.

In the future, the building complex will also be expanded to include another building.
