Brenton "Brent" LaJames Petway (born May 12, 1985 in Warner Robins , Georgia ) is an American basketball player .

Career

Petway began playing basketball at Griffin High School and played there for two years. He then played a year for Eagles Landing High School before moving to Union Grove High School for another year. At the University of Michigan he played from 2003 to 2007. He achieved a point average of 5.8 points per game.

In 2007, Petway attended a Portland Trail Blazers training camp . In the 2007/08 season he played for the Idaho Stampede in the NBA Development League . In 2008 he played for the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA Summer League before moving back to Idaho Stampede for the 2008/09 season. For the 2009 Summer League he played with the Toronto Raptors in Canada. He then moved to Greece and has been playing in the A1 Ethniki ever since .

Trivia

Because of his high jumps and dunking , he was nicknamed Air Georgia .
