Nikolaos Pappas ( Greek Νικόλαος Παππάς , first name also often Nikos Νίκος, born July 11, 1990 in Athens ) is a Greek basketball player .

Career

Nikolaos Pappas began his career in 2006 at Panellinios Athens , where he made his debut in the ULEB Eurocup during the 2007/2008 season . In 2008, at the age of 18, he moved to Spain , where he first worked for CB Bilbao Berri and later for Real Madrid's B team . After returning to Greece in 2009, he played for Kolossos Rhodes , PAOK Thessaloniki and Panionios Athens , before moving to the Greek record champions Panathinaikos Athens in 2013 together with Vladimiros Giankovits .

National team

Pappas went through all of Greece's youth national teams and was able to reach three European championships in 2009 as well as a runner-up world championship. At the Albert Schweitzer tournament held in Germany in 2008 he was awarded the title of MVP. In 2012 he was appointed to the men's squad for the first time in the run-up to qualifying for the Olympic Games in London .
