Ian Vougioukas (pronounced: [wuju: kas]) ( Greek Ίαν Βουγιούκας , born May 31, 1985 in London , England ) is a Greek basketball player .

Career

Ian Vougioukas began his career in Athens with the youth teams of Aris Glyfadas before moving to Saint Louis University in the United States , where he played for Saint Louis Billikens. In 2007 he returned to Greece and signed a three-year contract with Olympiacos , but only played there in the 2008/2009 season. Between 2010 and 2012 he was under contract with the top club Panathinaikos Athens , where he won a championship, a cup and the ULEB Euroleague . In spring 2015 he was under contract with ratiopharm Ulm for several months .

National team

Vougioukas has played in all of Greece's national youth teams and has been a member of the men's selection since 2009. His greatest successes include the U21 Vice World Cup in 2005 and third place in the U19 World Cup in 2003.
