Georgios "Giorgos" Printezis ( Greek Γεώργιος "Γιώργος" Πρίντεζης , born February 22, 1985 in Athens ) is a Greek basketball player who is 2.06 m tall in the position of the power forward.

Career

In the summer of 2000, the then 15-year-old Giorgos Printezis moved from the Astera Agiou Dimitriou (Αστέρα Αγίου Δημητρίου) to the youth department of Olympiakos. For the 2002/03 season he was then appointed to the senior squad. In the same season he also made his debut in the EuroLeague , the highest endowed European competition for club teams. He played his first notable season in the 2005/06 season. In that season he came to 23 missions and was able to earn 143 points and 70 rebounds. Already in the following season he was awarded for more match practice to the then league competitor Olympia Larisa , before he was then to move to CB Málaga for two league seasons in 2009 . Then he returned to the A1 Ethniki and rejoined Olympiakos. With Piraeus he won the Euroleague in 2012 and 2013 , where he scored the decisive basket in the final seconds of the final against CSKA Moscow in 2012 .

In the game against Aris Saloniki , Printezis threw himself on the 17th matchday of the 2017/18 season with his 2913th point in the Olympiakos jersey to become the most successful basket hunter in the Basket League .

Printezis is also regularly appointed to the Greek national team. He participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics , the 2009 , 2013 and 2015 European Championships and the 2010 and 2014 World Championships .
