Arijan Komazec (born January 23, 1970 in Zadar , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian basketball player who played in the positions of shooting guard and small forward .

Arijan Komazec, who began his career at KK Zadar , played in his 15-year professional career for a number of European clubs in Greece and Italy and was considered the successor to Dražen Petrović, who died in 1993, due to his playing style at the beginning of his career in his home country . Although Komazec was under contract with top clubs such as Panathinaikos Athens , Buckler Bologna and Olympiacos Piraeus and was even active in the NBA in the 2000/2001 season , he was never able to live up to this claim. Komazec started the 2001/2002 season with AEK Athens , but left the team in December 2001.

The greatest successes of his career include winning the world championship in 1990 and the European championship title in 1991. He also won the silver medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona with the Croatian national team .
