Torey Thomas (born February 26, 1985 in White Plains , New York ) is a professional American basketball player .
Career
college
Thomas spent his college days at Holy Cross in the NCAA . Torey Thomas was not drafted in the 2007 drafts.
Professional time
In the same year Thomas signed his first professional contract. After a few games in the Turkish championship he succeeded in the 2007/08 season in the Swedish championship with Akropol BBK in 22 games an average of 25.6 points per game. After two more years in the Netherlands and Venezuela, he achieved his first success as a finalist in the Polish championship in 2011 with Turów Zgorzelec from Poland. Thomas was named Most Valuable Player of the main round of the PLK 2010/11 . In the 2011/12 season Thomas moved to Russia, where he played for Spartak Primorye in Vladivostok . With Spartak reached the final of the Russian Cup in 2012. In September 2012 he moved to the Serbian series champion ULEB Euroleague participant Partizan Belgrade. After the contract was terminated after a few weeks, however, Thomas moved to the Italian Lega Basket Serie A at Scavolini from Pesaro at the end of 2012 . This ended the season as penultimate and prevented relegation only because there was only one promoted for the next season. In the following season 2013/14 Thomas tried again at the beginning of the season in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi with Aliağa Petkim GSK from Izmir . After two championship appearances, the club gave up the further services of Thomas and Thomas got a fixed-term contract with the French club Le Mans Sarthe Basket as an injury-related replacement for DaShaun Wood . After the contract ended in January 2014 Thomas joined the club from Cholet , a league rival in the French LNB Pro A .
