The Krepšinio Klubo Šiauliai (lit. Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian basketball club from Šiauliai . He plays in the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga and in the Baltic Basketball League .

history

The association was founded on June 22, 1994. In the first few years of its existence, Šiauliai was one of the top clubs in Lithuania. He regularly finished third or fourth in the Lithuanian championship and regularly failed at one of the two great Žalgiris or Lietuvos rytas at the latest in the semi-finals of the national play-offs. KK Šiauliai started in 1996 for the first time in a European competition, namely in the Korać Cup . Since then, the club has regularly participated in various European cup competitions. Three times (2008, 2010, 2011) the ULEB Eurocup started as the highest competition so far, but did not get beyond the group phase. In April 2014, the club achieved its greatest success to date by winning the BBL . This success was repeated in 2015 and 2016.
