Rudolf Erlemann
Rudolf Karl Joseph Erlemann (born August 29, 1932 in Krefeld ; † April 30, 2015 ) was a German Brigadier General in the Luftwaffe .

After graduating from high school, Erlemann joined the Federal Border Police (BGS), where he worked from 1953 to 1956. In 1956 he became a security officer in the Federal Chancellery (under Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer ) in Bonn. In 1956, he was taken over by the Bundeswehr .
He initially did service in Panzer Battalion 2 in Hemer. In the same year he was transferred to the air defense battalion 2 in Unna for the air force. In 1957/58 he received an aeronautical training at the pilot school "B" in Landsberg am Lech and Fürstenfeldbruck and in 1959 in Luke , Arizona . From 1959 to 1962 he was a pilot (" Starfighter ") first with Jagdbombergeschwader 31 "Boelcke" in Nörvenich and later with Jagdbombergeschwader 71 "Richthofen" in Ahlhorn and Wittmund. In 1962 he became a squadron captain with Fighter Bomber Wing 74 in Wittmund and then in Oldenburg. In 1964/65 he was deputy group commander in JaboG 74 in Neuburg an der Donau.
From 1965 to 1967 he completed the 10th general staff course (L) at the command academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. From 1967 to 1969 he was group commander and in 1969 deputy commodore of the fighter-bomber squadron 74 "Mölders" in Neuburg an der Donau. In 1969/70 he was assigned to the Air Force Group South in Karlsruhe as a general staff officer . From 1970 to 1972 he was A3 of the 2nd Air Force Division in Birkenfeld. In 1972 he participated in the 40th NATO Defense College (NDC) in Rome. From 1972 to 1975 he was commodore of the 74 "Mölders" fighter-bomber squadron in Neuburg an der Donau. In 1975 he trained as an attaché and then worked as an air force attaché at the German Embassy in Washington, DC . In 1978/79 he was a lecturer, 1979/80 department head and from 1980 to 1984 teaching group commander at the leadership academy.
From 1984 to 1988 he was Head of the National Military Representative (NMV) at the German Share SHAPE . From 1988 to 1992 he was Commander Sector Operations Center 2 in Goch. In 1990 he retired.
Others
After the reunification he was an advisor to the CDU-led state chancellery of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Erlemann was chairman of the CDU Haselau from 2000 to 2009 . Then he was a delegate for the CDU in the district council committee.
He was also the representative of the Catholic charity Caritas for Südholstein. From 1995 to 2008 he was head of the North Regional District of the Clausewitz Society .
After a serious illness, the widow died in 2015; he was buried with military honors .
