Viktor Toyka

Viktor Toyka (born October 23, 1946 in Hameln ) is a retired German flotilla admiral . D. Most recently, he was deputy commander of the Bundeswehr Leadership Academy .

Military background

In 1966 he joined the German Navy as an officer candidate for Crew IV / 66. In 1969 he was promoted to lieutenant at sea . From 1975 to 1977 he was in command of U 17 . He then completed the 21st admiral staff course at the leadership academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. From 1981 to 1983 the lieutenant captain was in command of U 21 .

Afterwards he was a consultant for internal management and operational principles in the command staff of the Navy (Fü M) in Bonn as well as adjutant to the inspector general of the Bundeswehr and in 1984/85 as corvette captain first officer (IO) on destroyer Hessen . From 1988 he was in command of the destroyers Hessen (1988/89) and Bavaria (1989–1991). From 1991 to 1993 he was Head of the Marine Concept / Planning Division in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) in Bonn. In 1993 he became the commander of the 4th frigate squadron and the Franco-German Navy Association (DEFRAM). In 1995 he was employed as head of department and deputy head in the command center of the Bundeswehr (FüZBw) in the BMVg in Bonn. From 1997 to 2000 he headed the operations department in the fleet command (FlKdo) in Glücksburg-Meierwik as a sea ​​captain . From 2000 to 2004 he was deputy head of office and head of specialist departments in the Armed Forces Office (SKA) in Bonn.

In 2004 he finally became deputy commander of the command academy of the Bundeswehr and director of courses. In 2006 he retired as a flotilla admiral (since 2001).

Others

Toyka was managing director of the Clausewitz Society from 2007 to 2013 . He also published in military journals.

He is on the board of the Ahrtal-Residenz eG in Bad Neuenahr.
