Nazareth Jersey "Naz" Mitrou-Long (born August 3, 1993 in Mississauga ) is a Canadian basketball player of Greek descent.

career

Mitrou-Long from Mississauga (Canadian province of Ontario ), whose mother Georgia is of Greek origin, played as a teenager in the 2009/10 season at the Montrose Christian School in Maryland , USA , and he also spent the following playing year in the United States and ran for the team from Findlay Prep (State of Nevada ). There he played on the side of Anthony Bennett . In the 2011/12 season he was on the field for the selection of the St. Martin Secondary School in his hometown Mississauga.

Mitrou-Long was on the Iowa State University team from 2012 to 2017 . He came to a total of 131 missions with an average of 9.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 basket assists per match. Because of a hip operation, he only took part in eight games in the 2015/16 season.

After the end of his university days he was not included in the draft of the NBA in 2017, but trained with the NBA team Utah Jazz in the course of preparation for the 2017/18 season and then initially played exclusively for the Utah training team during the following game year, the Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G-League . In December 2017, he then received a contract that also allowed him to play in the NBA. In the end he played a short stint in the NBA and 40 games for the stars (18 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists per match).

In July 2018, he reached a "two-way deal" with Utah. He  did not make his breakthrough in the NBA with the team from Salt Lake City : He came to a total of 15 NBA appearances in two years and mostly played in the training team Salt Lake City Stars in the NBA G-League , where he was convincing. In late July 2019, he signed a contract with the Indiana Pacers .
