Predrag Filipović (athlete)

Predrag Filipović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Предраг Филиповић ; born October 5, 1978 in Leskovac ) is a Serbian walker .

Filipović, who starts for the Crna Trava, contested his first international race on October 12, 2002 at the Walker World Cup in Turin . There he ran to 54th place. A year later he reached 9th place in the European Cup. At the World Athletics Championships in Paris in 2003 , he ran over 20 kilometers in 22nd place. He took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens in the discipline of 20 km walking and was 39. At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 he was 41 in the same discipline. At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 , he reached 39th place 20 kilometers. At the European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona , he reached 15th place with a time of 4:06:29 h over 50 kilometers.

Filipović was national champion of Serbia and Montenegro in 2003 and Serbian champion over 20 kilometers in 2008 and 2009. He also won the Balkan Championships over the same distance from 2003 to 2008.
