Miloš Vujanić (born November 13, 1980 in Loznica , Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian basketball player .
Career
Miloš Vujanić began his career with the youth teams of the traditional Serbian club Red Star Belgrade. In 1998 he signed his first professional contract and stayed with Roter Stern for three years. In 2001 Vujanic moved to city rivals Partizan Belgrade, where he won the Serbian championship in 2002 and 2003 and the 2002 cup. After he was promoted to a leading player in his new team and was able to establish himself in the Serbian national team, the NBA scouts first noticed him. In 2002 he was finally selected by the New York Knicks in 34th place in the NBA Drafts (in 2004 the Knicks gave their rights to the player to the Phoenix Suns ). However, Vujanic never got a contract offer from the NBA and moved to Italy to Fortitudo Bologna in 2003 . In the ULEB Euroleague he was the most successful scorer in the competition the previous season with an average of 25.8 points. With Fortitudo Vujanić won the Italian championship in 2005 before moving to Spain to Barcelona in the summer of 2005 . At Barcelona Vujanić came after a repeated, serious knee injury only sporadically and could only take part in four Euroleague games of his team. In 2006 he moved to Greece to Panathinaikos Athens where he was able to achieve the triple in 2007 . After Panathinaikos signed the players Vasilios Spanoulis and Šarūnas Jasikevičius in the summer of 2007 , Vujanić only made a few appearances until November of the same year. Dissatisfied with the role of the noble reservist, he asked Athens for clearance and was transferred to the Russian club Dynamo Moscow .
In addition to a number of national titles and awards, the 1.90 m tall Guard won the 2002 World Cup with the Serbian national team.
