Marko Lomić ( Cyrillic : Марко Ломић; born September 13, 1983 in Čačak , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian football player .
Player career
Lomić began his career in his birthplace at FK Borac Čačak . In 2002, the defender moved to the Bulgarian club Litex Lovetsch on loan for six months and then returned to Serbia-Montenegro. With FK Železnik he won the Serbian-Montenegrin cup competition in 2005 . For the 2005/06 season a move to the Romanian club FCU Politehnica Timișoara was planned. Shortly before signing the contract, Lomić also received an offer from the top Serbian club FK Partizan Belgrade , which he finally accepted.
With Partizan he played in qualifying for the Champions League 2005/06 and the UEFA Cup 2006/07 . A national title win with Partizan was denied Lomić. In 2007 he and his Belgrade team-mate Branimir Bajić moved to Germany to TuS Koblenz in the 2nd Bundesliga for an unknown transfer fee . He played there until August 2009. After he was no longer considered in the preparation of coach Uwe Rapolder, the club advised him to look for a new employer. On August 31, 2009, his contract in Koblenz was dissolved and Marko Lomic moved back to FK Partizan Belgrade . He stayed there for the 2009/2010 season before moving to Russia for FK Dynamo Moscow in the spring of 2010 . There he played for four years, during which he held a regular place in the defense. In the summer of 2014 he moved to Mordowija Saransk , where he ended his career in 2016.
With the U21 national team of Serbia-Montenegro Lomić took part in the U21 European Championships in 2004 and 2006 . In 2004 the team became vice European champions, in 2006 they failed after a penalty shoot-out in the semifinals. Lomić was also in his country's squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. However, he was not used in the disappointing preliminary round. On April 7, 2010, he made his debut in the Serbian national team in a friendly against Japan .
