Deniss Čerkovskis
Deniss Čerkovskis (born November 2, 1978 in Riga , Latvian SSR ) is a former Latvian modern pentathlon .
Career
Čerkovskis took part in four Olympic Games . In 2000 in Sydney he was 18th , in 2004 in Athens he just missed a medal with fourth place. At the 2008 Games in Beijing he finished eleventh, in 2012 in London he did not get past 19th place . In 2005 he became vice European champion in singles. At world championships he won the silver medal in mixed with Jeļena Rubļevska in 2013 .
In a doping test in 2011, Čerkovskis tested positive for anabolic steroids and was banned for two years.
