Erki Pütsep (born May 23, 1976 in Jõgeva ) is an Estonian racing cyclist who is active on the road and by mountain bike .

Athletic career

Erki Pütsep began his professional career in 2003 with the French cycling team Ag2r Prévoyance , after having ridden there the previous year as a stagiaire . In 2004 he won the French one-day race Classic Loire Atlantique and became Estonian road champion, a success he repeated in 2006 and 2007. At the Tour de Langkawi 2006 he came second once, at Gent-Wevelgem he was later ninth overall. In 2012 and 2013 he became national mountain bike champion in the marathon .

Pütsep competed at the Olympic Games twice - in 2000 and 2004 ; In 2000 he finished 54th in the road race , and in 2004 he did not finish.
