Estonia took part in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, with 19 athletes, 14 men and 5 women, in four sports.

With the collapse of the Soviet Union , an Estonian team took part in the Olympic Games for the first time since 1936. The team remained unsuccessful in medals, Allar Levandi achieved the best placement with 6th place in Nordic combined.

Flag bearer

Ants Antson , an official in the Estonian Olympic Committee , carried the Estonian flag during the opening ceremony in Parc Olympique. He won a gold medal in speed skating for the Soviet Union in 1968 .
